HIKING TRIP TO NEITVUORI
Luonteri is one the most famous nature preserves of Saimaa district. There is also situated the most popular mountain lookout of Southern Savo, called Neitvuori, part of national heritage of Finland.
You will meet our local nature guide called Tiina at the reception in Anttolanhovi. After meeting you travel by bus to the starting point named Hiidenlahti. Route begins from yard of old farm called “Hiidentorppa”. Guide tells facts and fiction stories about local way of life, and you have possibility to taste wild spring water from the nearby of the farm. After visiting this farm we walk easy and good quality trek to Neitvuori summit. You have breathtaking view to the Luonteri Archipelago from top of Neitvuori. During the tour you stop to listen the voices of forest and lakes and wind. You learn with the guide our common trees, shrubs and fauna. In this trip you will get a short guidance to the Finnish nature, forest, and to the Lakeland area of Saimaa. During the trip you are also able to pick up wild berries or mushrooms. (depending availability) Between the tour you will have outdoor snacks around the fire. Duration approx 4 hours.
